Photography – Portland

I was born in Montana. I moved to the Oregon coast and spent my childhood divided up between the two. My grandmother, mother and aunt immersed me in art. I have been engaged in some form of art since I can remember. I was raised in small cities and in the woods with tents and fishing poles. I moved to Seattle to attend Seattle University. I spent my time in their sociology program. I'm a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. I was homeless for a time equal to years in lots of different cities; Seattle, San Francisco, Missoula, Oregon Coast. I have lived in fancy lakefront condos and slept under bridges. Life changes quickly. It has come full circle, now I work helping people who need the support I was given. My goal is to document what I see. I want to provide people with the world that I have experienced. I love beautiful people. Beauty comes in many different subjective forms. Thus, I want my work to be topical and voyeuristic, giving the viewer the freedom to respond openly. Their response is the point, what story does the audience see?
