ABOUT

I have always enjoyed making my own jewelry to wear. I would have an image in my mind of the accessory I wanted to wear but when I shopped for one I couldn't find it. So I got into the habit of making everything I wore and making jewelry for friends and family as gifts. I finely realized that this is what I love to do so why not make jewelry that anyone can wear? I was 28 at the time and poppies are my favorite flower so I merged the two and that's how 28 poppies came to be.

INSPIRATIONS

I can find inspiration just about anywhere I go. I can get inspired by the texture on a piece of coral or an unusual object and I think that it is reflected in my designs. I am an avid collector of chains and beads and any item I can repurpose into a piece of jewelry. I have one necklace that features an old computer chip I found on the ground! It's really fun to find a random object and think, what can I design with this?

FAVORITE THING ABOUT RAW

I've only just found out about RAW so I don't know what my favorite thing is about the organization yet, but I'm guessing I'm going to love the support RAW gives artists and the support that the artist's seem to have for one another. I am really excited for the upcoming event and to meet everyone!

MAKES MY WORLD GO ROUND

Of course my family and my dog Faybin (well he is my family too). Anything fashion related, however obviously I am rather partial towards the accessory side of fashion. I also love interior design so I tend to do lots of little projects around my house. If I see something I really like and I know it might be possible to make it myself then that's what I do.
