ABOUT

Amanda McCarthy is an 18 year old award-winning singer/songwriter from Londonderry, NH. With over 100 originals and numerous cover songs under her belt, you'll always see her performing something new! Amanda plays guitar and piano, and will sometimes sing along to tracks when she feels like moving around. On rare occasions she will even sing a capella. She is also learning how to play the ukulele and drums, and she has tried a few other instruments as well. Since she started performing at the age of 12, Amanda has played at numerous venues including Boston's Hard Rock Cafe, Six Flags New England, Massachusetts State House, The Sad Cafe, Ground Zero, and many more! You will also see Amanda performing at many festivals and benefit concerts. Last year, Amanda was selected to be a GreenRocker with the Greenschools organization. The GreenRockers perform at many schools and environmental awareness events. Amanda wrote her award winning song "Do Our Part (In Going Green) for the organization. Amanda is also a huge supporter of recent anti-bullying movements. Her original song "Sticks And Stones" written on her own experiences is quickly gaining popularity as well. Keep an eye out for this girl, she's continuously pushing herself to improve and she has her heart set on what she wants. Nothing will stop her from achieving her goals and dreams!

I haven't performed the showcase yet, but I think it's awesome that there's an organization that showcases ALL creative outlets! It gives everyone a chance to express their talents and their passions :)
