ABOUT

Alexie's passion is only rivaled by her ambition and dedication when it comes the performance arts. A born entertainer, Alexie began dancing at the age of four. She grew up training at local dance studios and performing in the competition circuit.  She was introduced to the entertainment industry at the early age of six, when she performed on Star Search with "The Hip-Hop Kids". From that point on she's been represented by some of the top talent agencies in Los Angeles. In the entertainment industry she has kept her face and talent in front of the public on commercials and industrials for Cannon, Disney, Payless, SABAN, JC Penny, Nissan, Nordstroms, and Reebok; music videos for artists such as Prince, Nelly Furtado, Charice Pempengco, Macy Gray, and the Pussycat Dolls.  On film and television some of her credits include the 64th Academy Awards choreographed by Debbie Allen, the Emmy award nominated 84th Academy Awards choreographed and produced by Adam Shankman, and "America's Got Talent"  with creative director Brian Friedman. Her appearances also included guest spots on The Jay Leno, Carson Daly late-night shows, and Entourage when she represented the LA Lakers as a LA Laker Girl during 2003-2005 seasons. Alexie added a life changing accomplishment to her resume by graduating from UCLA in 2005 earning her B.A. in World Arts and Cultures with an emphasis in Cultural Studies, Dance & Choreography. Most recently, Alexie's warm smile and heartfelt dance moves got her onto the hit Season 7 of "So You Think You Can Dance" as a Top 11 finalist. Her contagious optimism lit up the small screen as she worked with choreographers Tessandra Chavez, Wade Robson, Tyce Diorio, and Tabitha and Napoleon.  She is grateful to be able to inspire others, and equally, loves being inspired.  Her way of thanking the universe for her gifts is by giving back;  by performing at charity events for the countless issues close to her heart, teaching and choreographing.  She has taught for studios close to home, including the UCLA Dance Team which she was also a member; around the country, as a faculty member on Showstoppers Dance Convention; and across countries, including Japan, Cuba (touring with, Contra-tiempo, a salsa dance troupe), and the Philippine Islands.  Alexie believes there is no limit when honing your crafts as an artist. When she is not pursuing and mastering her irrepressible love for performance she is an avid traveler, a book-culinary-film-fashion-music-museum-photography enthusiast, and enjoys making memories with family, friends, and her favorite dogs Zen (her family's Shiba Inu) and Axl Rose (her rescued Pit-bull).
