A Los Angeles native by the name of DJ FreakWest has quickly risen through the ranks to become respected not only by industry peers but also by crowds all over the U.S. His talent although has not been an overnight success. FreakWest started paying his dues at the young age of 16 in the late 90’s. While most people his age where heading to video game arcades, and movie theatres, FreakWest was converting his love for music onto his turntables. His diligent practice soon had him carrying around crates of records and heavy equipment to play at local house parties. He was rocking huge college frat & sorority parties before he was old enough to take his SAT’s. Eventually as the years progressed FreakWest graduated into the club scene and became an instant crowd favorite. In early 2008, FreakWest found himself moving to Hawaii and settling down on the bustling island of Oahu. He immediately found ways to immerse himself in Hawaiis growing music scene. Not very long after that he was back at it Dj’ing at huge parties at The University of Hawaii and venues all over the famed Waikiki Beach. Fast-forward a few years and FreakWest can most likely be spotted in hot spots all over southern California. He currently can also be found every month playing a methodical blend of all genres of crowd pleasing music at The World Famous Key Club in Hollywood, as the resident Dj & host for RAW Artists Hollywood. In early 2011 FreakWest returned home to Los Angeles for good and has hit the ground running ever since. With a monthly set at the #4 nightclub in the world, Playhouse Hollywood. The name Dj FreakWest was again buzzing around the streets of Los Angeles. His ability to take crowds through any and every genre across the spectrum with ease and finesse has become a rare commodity in the present day Dj scene. A music lover all across the board, his vast knowledge of music enables him to create fresh mash-ups using music from todays top artists with classics spanning from Chuck Berry all the way to the Beastie Boys and back. A true music chameleon Freakwests ability to mold sets to the feel and vibe of each crowd and venue on the spot make him a big hit on every dance floor he encounters. His adaptability with his crowds is truly 2nd to none. Refusing to rely on pre-ordered set lists like a vast majority of Dj’s make each and every one of his performances one of a kind and truly unforgettable. “My goal is to ALWAYS leave my crowds wanting more.
