While writing the songs that would soon become the backbone to her debut album, Jasmine Hormez struggled to find an accurate description of what her music and more importantly what S.H.E stood for. Redefining the modern day perception of Pop music seemed a lofty goal at best. Nevertheless, Jasmine set out on her journey armed with nothing more than a pen and notebook full of emotion. Was it possible to make a classic pop record that could stand up against what is today considered a hit? Was it necessary to make music that lacked any real substance for fear it would not be accepted at Top 40 radio? Was it possible to be sexy without having to compromise who you stand for as a person?
