I believe past experiences don't define you, it's what you do with what you've learned that truly states who you are. After years of dealing with Eating Disorders, and fighting for my life, Art was the only thing that made sense. My work examines both internal and external battles women are faced with everyday. Although some pieces reflect on the darker times of my past, my work as a whole celebrates that I chose to live. Paint brush in hand, I hope to silence the doubtful voices we create in our own heads trying to convince us that we aren't perfect just the way we are.
