I do various forms of art, from wall art, fashion, accessories and jewelry. My main focus is on my wall art.
I’ve always brainstormed different ways to develop a new form of art
that people will always remember. I want this idea to incorporate my
fashion design background. What always fascinated me since I was young
was fabric and I wanted that to be my medium. While making cardboard
umbrella props covered with sequin fabric at a costume design
internship in Las Vegas; lead me to the concept of fabric on canvas. It
was the best idea that has ever come to mind since I have boxfuls of
fabric scraps from earlier projects. I love the idea that I can
recycle my fabric scraps and also my unused clothes. It’s an art that
the world can appreciate.
My overall inspiration comes from fashion and its trends. A few pieces
were inspired by a garment I’ve constructed. What also inspires me is
nature and jewelry (beads, stones, etc). If it’s not already a flower, you will find some sort of
flower reference in my art. My object inspiration comes from
geometrical shapes, wallpaper designs and of course nature itself.
