Father. Brother. Painter. Artist without limits. Living this life with his family and Art Brothers and Sisters.
Nelson Santiago is a Puerto Rican New York City native Artist. Born in Harlem and raised in the Bronx. Since the age of 4 years old, Nelson has loved art. Self taught Nelson has painted, drawn and sketched on anything he can find. At the age of 9, Nelson fell In love with the Hip Hop culture, mainly graffiti. And soon after started writing the name HOST ONE. From 1984 to 1993 Nelson was active in the graffiti world from doing Wild Style pieces, street bombing, trains to rooftops. Nelson’s focus at the time was getting his name all over the city.
For the next 15 years his focus changed to raising and taking care of his family but Art was not far off. Encouraged by a artist friend to pursue his love for the arts, Nelson entered live painting events, Art Battles, art fundraisers and gallery shows while building his art resume to further himself in Live Art Performance.
Today, Nelson has broaden his art experiences to many different avenues in art venues, and opportunities where he builds with his community and others.
