Petals of Spain

Denver, CO

ABOUT

With their tight-knit harmonies, in-the-pocket rhythm section and catchy hooks, Petals of Spain plays rock and pop with a little jazz, hip hop and R&B thrown in. Packing clubs across the Rocky Mountain region before any music was accessible to fans, Petals live performance and word-of-mouth marketing by their audience has led them to the front of the ever competitive Denver music scene. They won the award for “Reader's Choice” for the 2010 Westword Music Showcase, and performed at the Denver Post Underground Music Showcase, in which the audience spilled into the streets. Their genre has best been described as a musical melting pot with one unified goal, human connection. Recently releasing a new single, entitled Lady Luck, Petals of Spain is quickly becoming the buzz on everyone’s lips. The band has the drive to connect with all they encounter, be it through music or be it through conversation. "This song “Lady Luck” comes in with an upbeat jazz-rock that mixes the class of a purist with a modern twist, and it does not disappoint." -BeforetheBigs.com "...a cultivated sophistication rare in such music these days." -Tom Murphy, "Critic's Choice," Denver Westword Music "I would say their music has infectious grooves that flirt with the borders of Rock, Pop, Funk, Soul and Jazz." "I highly recommend experiencing this band, live!” -Michael Orton, Colorado Music Buzz "...they brought the place to its knees...” "Petals of Spain are consummate entertainers." -Kiernan Maletsky, Westword Music Blogs Our website: http://www.petalsofspain.com Social networks- fB: facebook.com/petalsofspain Twitter: #petalsofspain Bandcamp: petalsofspain.bandcamp.com
