Inspired by the art and rhythm of all types of dance, Shpongled Hoops has been hooping for almost 4 years. Starting her journey in Burlington, VT, she has made her way across the United States to Portland, OR where she currently resides. Artist Statement: My works of art are an exploration into the multidimensional realms of my cognitive and physical potentials. From creation and expression I search for universal answers pertaining to the differentiating capabilities of body and mind. By exploring these realms I hope to discover a clearer understanding of who I am, who we are and how we connect to our reality. I do not wish to answer why we are here, but to focus more on how to harvest the human potential in order to grow more harmoniously with our surroundings. I look to capture the minds of others in a web of questions that will take their thoughts further than its terrestrial boundaries.
