ABOUT
I am mixed media artist born and raised on the Pacific Coast. Living and working between Portland and Maui, the bi-coastal influences have become more pronounced as of late. My work has evolved from traditional oil paint on canvas with focus on the figure to a mixed media approach incorporating collage, transfers and found objects. Rough edges, texture and layering materials define my creative style. I see beauty in the worn and threadbare as well as the sparkle of silver and jewels, and lust the juxtaposition of the two. As a student of art and architecture, I hold a deep appreciation for classic design, as it the canvas on which modern creations are painted.
