Meet Tovah Avigail, a California girl at heart, with an Israeli flare and a passion for all things beauty, fashion, the arts and aesthetics in general. In 2003, she began her hairstyling career in Israel at both Joseph and Shampoo salons. Three years later, Tovah moved to New York City to pursue a position at ESCADA with their jewelry line, and followed that with a fashion stint at Necessary Objects Clothing. Never losing sight of her passion for beauty however, she enrolled and graduated top of her class at the renowned Empire Beauty School of Manhattan, in 2008. Later that fall, Tovah began a two year apprenticeship at Warren Tricomi Salon at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. Upon completion, she moved on to become a free-lance hairstylist, make-up artist, and wardrobe stylist with a devoted and substantial private clientele. She has made a name for herself as Head Stylist and Creative Advisor for Glamoir Photography and Heeb Magazine, respectively. Most recently, Tovah has become one of the most sought after hairstylists at NYC's blow dry bar, "Drybar". Representations of strong yet ultra-feminine women embracing their true beauty (inside and out), who have had an influence on society, greatly inspire Tovah Avigail, personally and professionally. No wonder pre-code starlets, the classic 20's flapper, the brazen beauties of 30's & 40's Film Noir, the iconic 50's Pin-Up Girl, as well as rebellious 80's music video vixens are consistently evoked in her work. Tovah?s hairstyling has been featured on the runways of Anne Bowen, Douglas Hannant and Kristie Kelly, to name a few. And her handy-work has also made appearances on The Tyra Show, Bravo's The Millionaire Matchmaker, A&E productions, and The Robert Verdi Project. Over the years, this stylist has gained a great deal of experience and knowledge working on a large and diverse population, with a vast array of hair and skincare products. She believes in educating her clients regarding hair and scalp health and self care and management just as much as she does providing an excellent service. Whether she is on a photo shoot, at a client's home, or at Drybar, Tovah's energetic and bubbly nature paired with her professionalism and experience has helped her soar to the top. She excels at making her clients look and feel their best!
