Visual Art – Washington, D.C.

I've always loved to draw. At a young age I started doodling in school to get myself through class, and eventually graduated to tagging the walls in the bathrooms. I later helped teenagers in Costa Rica cover their high school in murals as a Peace Corps volunteer. My artwork focuses on patterns, including mandalas and abstract arrangements, but sometimes veers off into graffiti and dinosaurs. As a child therapist in the DC public school system, I regularly incorporate art into my practice, encouraging my clients to ease their anxiety through self-expression, much like I've done my whole life.
