It seems as if Aaron Hoerber has been creating art since he was a child. He had an encouraging and artistic family that spent their holidays drawing and making clay sculptures. The matriarch of Aaron's family was his grandmother who was an art teacher and an avid painter. As he got older his grandmother became a mentor, giving him fine art lessons as early as middle school. Much of what his grandmother taught him would take years for him to fully appreciate but this helped Aaron form a naturalistic drawing style from early on.
Drawing became a outlet for Aaron to excel, being mediocre at sports or school work Aaron could always take pride in his art. Even though the world of art seemed illusive and unattainable he went forward with studying fine arts in college. Through upper education Aaron sought a wide variety or materials and techniques including glass blowing, bronze and glass casting, ceramics, printmaking, figure drawing, painting and sculpture.
After graduating from California State University Chico with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Aaron uses art for self discovery and commentary. Art gives him a vehicle to express himself and his political opinions in a manner that does not require him to answer his own questions. Visual art gives him the freedom of putting something forth to the public, letting the viewer bring their own interpretation and opinions. This creates a unspoken dialog with the artist and the viewer making the transference of information personal and unique with every encounter.
