Abby Johnson

Growing up in Golden Colorado my entire life, I have always been surrounded by outdoorsy down to earth people. To this day, at the age of 20, this culture made a huge effect on my emotions and the art that I do today. I observe the unique interactions between people to add content and character to my work. As a painting major, I am interested in making work that is outside the norm of traditional portrait and landscape painting. I am a current student at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and will graduate with a BFA in painting in the summer of 2014. I was in a recent exhibition called Icebreaker 5 at the Ice Cube Gallery in Denver, CO and will soon be part of a printmaking show and 3 small private gallery openings with RMCAD.
