Music – San Diego
Beginning as an instrumental fusion jazz trio in 2012, Abstrack’s founding members, Malachi Johnson (drums), Darwin Avalos (bass), and Brandon Cerquedo (guitar) began to expand the group over the course of two years with the additions of vocalist Sarah black, vocalist Cedrice Ce, and pianist Hugo Suarez. While performing at private events and music venues all around San Diego this group of friends are also students attending SDSU, Mesa College, Southwestern College, and UCSD. These musicians have been together for less than a year, but have quickly developed a uniquely fresh and original sound. When they are not performing as Abstrack, most members also play at local churches, music venues, produce music, and perform at their attending Universities. Each member brings their own style ranging from Jazz, Hip Hop, Pop, and RnB.
