Visual Art – Tucson

i am originally from NY, and moved to Tucson about 2 years ago. i have gone through a pretty interesting life so far, and have been told many times to write a book. seeing as how i don\'t have the attention span to do that (I\'ve tried), instead i like to create visual art. usually my art is done in alternate mediums, but i mainly keep it 2D. i like to use found objects for canvas, and try and incorporate more than just one medium into my piece. when i was about 11 or 12 i went to the MOMA and saw the minimalist exhibit, and was so disappointed at where art was going i gave it up for a good couple years. i was so mad about how people could get a painting of a white canvas and a greyish blue line running across the bottom into a respected museum like the MOMA that i stopped painting and drawing. i thought about how my painting was better than that and i haven\'t gotten my work in a museum. later on i figured out that minimalism was one of the biggest influences on my art than anything else. it got me so mad that i stopped creating. thats powerful shit. it also got me to realize that art doesn\'t have to be realism, or anything at all for that matter. theres my anecdote. my mind has gone astray, and that is what my art reflects.
