Alex (Drums) & Andy (Lead Vocals/Guitars) met in high school through Oscar, A mutual friend whom which they eventually started a band with. Andy, Alex, and Oscar started playing in 07 as Niño Deskalso, a Punk/Ska band. After about a year of playing shows Travis (Lead Guitars), a mutual friend who was playing for Electric Blondes at the time, was asked to join the group. In mid 2008 Niño D split & Andy, Alex, Oscar, and Travis went their own ways. Soon after, Travis and Andy started their acoustic project “Rui-Dos” and when they split up Andy rejoined Alex and Oscar to start “Rosa Venus” and Travis joined Violet Sun. When Rosa Venus (Andy & Alex) and Violet Sun (Travis) started playing shows, they met JJ (Bass) who was playing in Backseat Pilots. After the break up of Rosa Venus in mid 2011, Andy & Alex went into the studio to record a couple of tracks for an upcoming project called “Batteries Not Included”. When Andy showed JJ the recordings, he offered to help out the new “Batteries” project. A few months later, the project disbanded. As a result, Andy and Alex were left to write songs on their own again. Andy went on to join Pet The Music and Alex would soon follow. Travis remained in Violet Sun & JJ continued in Backseat Pilots. It was early 2012 and Andy decided to make yet another attempt to start a band. After various conversations, meets, and phone calls, the soon to be band mates came together for their first rehearsal. The members blended all of their musical influences into something that could relate to all of them on all levels musically and theoretically. Finally with everything in accord, the “Reptiles” were born.
