Visual Art – Brisbane

Amy is a Brisbane based artist and also an Event Coordinator for Hands on Art. She was born in Western Australia and grew up in Melbourne and later Sydney, where she completed her Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts at Sydney College of Arts. Amy then moved to Brisbane 7 years ago, where she studied Graphic Design and spent time developing her craft, collaborating with other artists and getting involved in the art scene in Brisbane by doing Live Painting at festivals and events (Lost Movements and Jungle Love) and exhibiting in group shows. Since living here in Brisbane, Amy has become a Graphic Designer, illustrator, poet, art tutor and art model. She always aims to push herself as an artist by learning new techniques, exploring the unknown and taking risks. At present, Amy is focused on her work as a painter and learning to master her craft whilst looking after her 2 year old son and working with Hands on Art.
