Alissa Kennedy

AKphoto7 is my film photography project. I have been working on a toy camera and an XPro series since 2006. By developing film in the wrong color chemistry, cross processing (XPro) yields wacky, out of this world colors without the use of Photoshop. The Holga shoots dreamy, square photos on 120 film. I love the thrill and mystery of the results, and learning to predict the outcome with dedication. I grew up in Clovis, CA in the central valley. One of my favorite things to do was driving through the country. I started learning photography in high school, where my teacher introduced me to the Holga during my Junior year. I got to hand develop and print my first Holga photos via darkroom, a magical experience. I own my own portrait photography business Alissa Rose Imagery, but I shoot film personally for pleasure. I am so thankful that I started my photography life adventure in film because it taught me the invaluable skill to value every shot. www.facebook.com/AKphoto7
