Visual Art – Dallas - Fort Worth

Consider me a creative spirit. Art, in all forms, has been imperative in my life for as long as I can remember. Since my crayon and coloring book days, creativity has always brought me peace. I started as a self-taught visual artist began taking art classes in high school. Around this time, I also explored other aspects of creativity and fell in love with poetry. After graduating in 2010, I took on poetry by the horns and have been writing it out since then. Starting in January of this year, I have begun to do spoken word at open mic venues in the DFW metroplex. Nevertheless, I am still very much what we would call a “baby poet.” Only when it comes to spoken word that is ;) Regarding visual art, I am in the neverending process of perfecting my skills, and am an especially big fan of painting and collage. These days, though, you can find me in the ceramics lab. Taking ALL things into account, my philosophy insists that art, in all of its miraculous forms, is medicine for the soul. I thank creativity for teaching me about myself and allowing me to understand this world. Currently, I am working on obtaining my degree in art therapy to help emancipate others through creativity while sharing my love for this gift with you. #creativeemancipation
