THE FAMILY DINNER

Welcome to the table! The Family Dinner is a live hip hop band from Boston Massachusetts serving up high energy performances around town since late 2011. The band, Zach Cohen (guitar), DAve Crespo (bass), Alex Martin on (drums), and Kris-Jin Williams (MC) knew each other from being busy in the scene; friends before they became Family. Since forming, the band has been active writing and performing original material, as well as backing for local vocalists, and hosting a hip hop open mic series at The Goodlife called Beat Salad. They have rocked venues with artists such as Blaze P & AntiStar, Nat Anglin (aka Natural), London Bridgez, and Shea Rose, as well as bands like Straight Angular, and Halfway To Avalon. With a range of influence from Minor Threat to The Roots, a super charismatic MC, and an urge to rock out, The Family Dinner is sure to keep the vibe up anywhere they play. They released their debut recording, The TakeOut EP, in 2012.
