Visual Art – Chicago

Albert Algianny, born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. I started working in the field of art during my freshman year in high school. During my enrollment in the University of Puerto Rico I was exposed to drawing, painting, and photography. I’ve been working on art ever since and my work ranges in terms of style, medium, and subjects. My work as an artist is mostly inspired by artists like Frederic Edwin Church, Andy Warhol, Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, and Pablo Picasso. I find myself usually drawn to landscapes and abstract subjects, which allows me to create and display the same image in different ways. My medium of choice is acrylic, and in my most recent work I am using a mixture of oil, paper, and acrylic. The art work has been displayed in the Chicago area at Positive Space Studios in group and solo exhibitions, at the Conception Art show, and on social media.
