Visual Art – Atlanta

I always thought I\'d become an artist, anyways, that\'s what everyone told me growing up. I picked a path of higher resistance, however, and became a biologist. My life is coming full circle now, and I can\'t escape what I am. I create because I\'m compelled to, much like any other artist. My work is deeply personal but I don\'t take it too seriously, as is evidenced by the often sarcastic and provocative tones, and the garish, bright and playful colors I love to use. This is all kind of evolution for me, and I feel like this stage of my artwork is akin to the first tetrapod struggling out of the primordial ooze, so hopefully, eventually I\'ll ditch the vestigial tail and grow some teeth and claws. I think that\'s what being an artist is all about. In a nerdy, biological sort of way, that is.
