Aliens

Music – Jersey City

To be Alien, you must be free. This is something that the boys in the band, Aliens (John Lawton-Vox, Will Lawrie-Bass/Vox, Maurice Watson drums/vox and Mark Dollar-strings/vox) believe to be the propeller to their sound. The \'sound\' of Aliens comes from a host of different influences, but the truth to the Aliens sound came when the band took note of fewer influences and committed themselves to making a record outside their own boundaries, with every member within rank in their own respective scenes and genres such as Pop, Rock, Alternative, Metal and then some, this band shares a wide range of style. The main goal to Aliens is to generalize the sound to many listeners all over the world. While the band started in early 2009, the sound of the band had been worked on with Maurice, Will and Mark rediscovering each other in bands for at least 10 years. The 3 stayed closed and confided with one another as musicians and friends. While you would think the three were complete with their sound across the board, the sound didn\'t become solid until Mark met singer/writer/producer,John Lawton, back in 2006. Mark and John met as writers to big labels, Jive and Def Jam Records, working for mainstream artists from Alicia Keys to Jaheim, Joe to Carl Thomas, Pink and many more. Surely enough, the music is what keeps the boys in Aliens strong.
