Amanda Bravender

New Orleans based makeup artist, Amanda Hampton Bravender is a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Louisiana. Following graduation from Aveda New Orleans in 2008, Amanda went on to work in a salon where she trained in color. After a year she left the salon to fulfill her dream of being a freelance hair and make-up artist. This is the year that she did hair and makeup for her first wedding and in the winter she worked as an assistant for the Delta Festival Ballet Company\'s Nutcracker, and the New Orleans Opera. In addition to these companies, she has had the honor to make over people for Mardi Gras balls, Tulane’s Summer Lyric Program, JPAS, Brother Martin Productions, Mt. Carmel Productions, New Orleans Symphony, Pensacola\'s Opera and Loyola\'s Opera. In October 2011, Amanda was the featured interview on WWL-TV Channel 4 New Orleans Morning Show. She was given the pleasure of transforming models into Halloween characters and giving a new look to anchorman Mike Hoss. Since this time, Amanda has been able to continue to do what she loves best: This year Amanda attended the 2012 IMATS in New York City and she participated in the RAW showcase for new artists.. Amanda is currently RAW New Orleans Makeup Artist of the year 2012.
