Amber Halliman

Having grown up surrounded by Native American artwork, I\'ve taken my inspiration from that and expounded upon it. Exploring the woods of western North Carolina, in and around Asheville, it always felt like an adventure when finding old, buried arrowheads and crystals. Living in Los Angeles has brought about a whole new set of images and scenery to draw from as well. I love that there are so many different textures and varieties of yarn, and how copper can be so warm and malleable. To combine these images, memories, materials and textures allows me to be creative in a way that I hadn\'t thought was possible before.
