Amber MacPherson

I am a graphic artist and designer, my work explores the nature of identity, self and expression. From my hometown of Byron, I boarded a flight and travelled the world for 6 months armed with an art diary and camera. When returning to Australia I decided to study. Initially completing a degree in Architecture, I am now studying postgrad Graphic Design and Art. My art practice is a collaboration between myself and my subjects, we work together in mixed media to create visually striking portraits which express an essential interest/passion outlined by my participants. The portraits provoke my subjects to explore how the see themselves, express themselves and what influences are ever working to shape who they are.
