Amy Bishop

I graduated from Colorado State University receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in sculpture and a minor in art history. After moving to Idaho, I started making jewelry and was immediately enchanted with the creative possibilities; a one of kind piece can become wearable sculpture. My current interest is in manipulating sterling silver, gold and copper wire. This is an ancient technique which allows for the creation of fluid and timeless pieces of jewelry. I often incorporate artisan glass beads and fabulous vintage beads. The uniqueness of these materials creates a story for each necklace, bracelet or pair of earrings that I make. I look forward to the future because there is always a new idea to try, a new technique to learn, new friends to make and a greater understanding of the world to be had.
