Visual Art – Seattle

I work primarily with pastel on paper and my pieces tend to focus on the female face and form. Much of my work plays on the ideas of mystery and imperfection, often keeping a portion of my subject matter hidden — behind glasses, with a closed or vacant eye or, at times, with no features at all. Many of my newer pieces are from a collection I call Miladies. These quirky, colorful women are drawn with a loose hand and are as much about having fun in the process of creation as in the final piece.
