Photography – Boston

I am a sophomore at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, majoring in Photography. I had first started to take a serious interest in photography my sophomore and junior years of high school. At the time, I would mostly take street photography, landscapes, and portraits. I had very little, to no experience, being in the studio. My work was also primarily digital, but while being in college, I learned how to use film and how to develop negatives. I also did a lot of studio and lighting work in one of my photo studio classes. The photos from that class are the photos that you see with the laser pointer and the multiple colors. I have found out that I enjoy being in the studio and creating my own narratives and environments simply by using lights and a handful of props, even more so with the writings I hope to connect to them. I feel like all this has allowed me to show people what goes through my mind when I look at someone or something.
