My name is Anna Radulea and photography is my life. I was born in Germany and lived there for about four years. I moved to Romania and lived there for three years. I was always greatly influenced by a family friend we had in Romania that was a professional photographer. I was in and around his studio quite often. I was always curious when I saw him use his camera. I moved to America when I was seven years old and can remember when my passion for it all started. I was about eight years old and my father asked me if I could take a picture of him with my mother at the park. As soon as I let that shutter release I knew that I found something that intrigued me and I could not explain why. What intrigued me more was that waiting period for the film to be developed and to see the prints. It felt like waiting for midnight on Christmas Eve to open presents. From then on I knew it wasn\'t just an infatuation. I\'m always inspired by what revolves around me. Every little detail I see portrays a little story that can be captured with a photograph. I always felt that a face told the best story. Every wrinkle and expression of the face describes an experience. Portraits are and always will be my passion. People are always the best photography subjects because they are unpredictable.
