Visual Art – Indianapolis

I have been painting since I was a kid. I have had formal training in art for more than a decade, and my earlier career comprised of paintings primarily with water colors. I have taught myself the art of using a palette knife with oil and acrylic paints to capture thoughts and emotions on a canvas, and have tried to attain balance in my work between abstracts and themes. Today I predominantly use oil paints for my themed expressions and acrylic for my abstracts, palette knife, fingers and my hands. The journey is still ongoing, trying to find the next inspiration, the next dream color, the next creative expression that makes the viewer stop and wonder. I strive to represent feelings, that makes one happy and gives the feeling of warmth. My expression with abstracts stems from visions of color encapsulated by shapes and objects immersed in strong textures, they eventually become canvas pieces.
