Visual Art – Los Angeles

Nachu was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she started developing a sense of aesthetics. At age 10 she attended art classes in the Studio of Buenos Aires based artist Silvia Brewda where she got the chance to explore with many mediums and styles and while her first attraction was clay sculpture and pottery making, she finally found herself among acrylics, oils, and the like. At age 16, she and her family relocated to Los Angeles, CA, USA, where she finished her high school education in Fairfax Senior High and then attended Santa Monica College where she received an Associates (A.A.) Degree in Arts. In the Fall of 2008 she continued her education at California State University, Long Beach, where she is currently attending and will graduate in the fall of 2011 with a B.A. Degree in Studio Art with emphasis in Drawing & Painting and another B.A. Degree in Art History. She hopes her art can bring awareness about many issues either ignored or simply forgotten to the public and to make a socio-political statement heard as well as continuing exploring her abstract work.
