Visual Art – Baltimore

Arthur C. Brown III is a visual artist and scholar, from Baltimore, MD. He is a self-taught artist, specializing in drawing and painting. He is currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Urban Art at Coppin State University. His art focuses on prominent African-American figures and other images related to the Maafa. Through mixed media he promotes excellence within the black community, re-envisioning the public perception of American history. He has been a member of the influential artist collective Cre3sol, working in the Station North Arts district. His first showing was at Cre3sol\'s open mic event \"Pink Polo\" in 2011. He has been commissioned by the Women of City BCC alumni organization, Christian Center Union Baptist Church and other individual opportunities. His paintings can be seen currently at Food Topia restaurant in downtown Baltimore.
