Visual Art – Houston
Amanda Hinojosa is a Mexican-American artist born and raised in Houston, Texas. Art is based on the different forms of love through culture, relationships, experiences, and religion from my own life or others. Her main concentration is unifying the materials chosen based on what the piece is about. Using mediums such as acrylics, a wood-burning technique called pyrography or using size and the use of multiple canvases. She is considered the Jack of All Trades. Amanda chooses to go by the name Artistokat.9 derived from the common user name of artkat9, it became a branding set by many years of playing around with words. She graduated from Houston Baptist University with her BFA.
