I am a self-taught artist, I love exploring and experimenting my studio is the lab. I am multi-faceted and work in a variety of mediums and expressions, i.e. painting, poetry, jewelry, silk scarves etc. Curiosity has fueled my creativity and desire to continually learn and grow as an artist. Ever since I can remember, I love studying things that fascinate me and capture my attention, wondering, “How did they do that”? I currently work in oils, pastels and acrylics. The range of subjects are far and wide. I paint with no goal in mind and allow the images to emerge on the canvas, allowing the painting to develop with me as the guide. On the other hand when, I paint Plein Air, I focus on my subject, “Nature” and work on the basics of impressionistic landscape. I find that each medium offers me new skill and keeps my juices flowing. Creativity is like a journey that transports me to magical places where inspiration is endless. My passion is to share with others this magic and the power of art as a transformative force.
