Yaw Ekow Owusu also known as Wu, is a recording artist, songwriter, audio engineer and model who was born in Ghana and grew up in New Jersey. In 2012, he joined the navy and which stationed him in Japan. While there he garnered some local success with releases such as L.O.R.D., #WakeUpCall, and #Exit7A under the moniker of JvstWu & Familiar Wu. Afterwards, he chose to pursue a career in music. Wu has been featured on blog sites such as HNHH, DaHiphopPlace and Coast2Coast.
