Ash Veitch

Performing Art – Melbourne

A passionate contemporary performance artist from Sydney that is continually looking to push the boundaries. Ash grew up in Sydney and studied dance at Ev & Bow Fulltime Dance Training Centre before continuing her studies in Melbourne at the Victorian College of the Arts. Ash has had the pleasure to work with contemporary choreographers and artists throughout her emerging career including Fiona Jopp, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, Mark Morris Dance Group, Sydney Dance Company and recently was a performer in Simone Forti's 'Huddle' at the NGV's MoMA Exhibition. Ash has also worked with commercial choreographers including Sarah Boulter, Stephen Tannos and Adam Blanch while completing her studies at Ev & Bow. Ash is passionate about the arts and how dance should be inclusive of all art mediums. Ash likes to think of her practice as being something that makes people consider the world they are surrounded in and would like people to take time to extract themselves from the fast paced society they live in today. She also likes to play with the physicality of the body and how the body is a visual instrument for the audience.
