Visual Art – Austin

I\'m a visual artist working primarily in oil painting, drawing and print. My work incorporates a lot of patterning and bright colorful shapes that abstract from reality. By way of repetition and working in layers, I\'m able to create these patterned worlds which depict made up maps and meticulously calculated imagery. What interests me is the visual chaos in our everyday world and fabricating a system within it. By way of dealing with anxiety at an early age, I loved to create, musically and artistically, so I was always making or writing. When I was finishing out my high school career, I knew I wanted to futher my education in fine art. Several studios later, I\'ve learned more about my own capabilities and gained more of a grasp of my own style. Over the past few years my work has evolved so much, refining my technique and learning more methods of making. With each experience I gain, there are more questions to be asked more answers and solutions to be made and more art to create. I know I\'ve got more experiences ahead of me, and if nature is willing, I hope to capture it.
