I am a photographer, dancer and performance artist currently based in Brooklyn.
I first learned basic camera operation and darkroom procedure at age 12 at an arts camp. I received a BFA in photography from the School of Visual Arts in 2006 and enhanced my technical knowledge over the next 3 years working as an assistant in the fashion industry.
My work is also supplemented by years of styling and self-styling performances at underground nightclubs and theaters in New York City.
INSPIRATIONS
My sources of inspiration range from traditional formalism to aggressive pop- from Hokusai and Kyosai to Sorayama, Shohei Otomo, and Hiroshi III. I also am profoundly inspired by cinematic works; a few of my favorite directors are Kitano, Kurosawa, C
