Visual Art – Dallas - Fort Worth

BeSo (1970 Fairbanks, Alaska) is a rebelliously happy artist who makes paintings, drawings, sculpture and mixed-media artworks exploring the human experience. A conceptual expressionist, her work often includes symbolic riddles or puzzles that engage and encourage the viewer to interact with the art. Trained at the Art Institute of Dallas, BeSo has enjoyed a fulfilling 25-year career in Graphic Design while studying art history and practicing techniques in fine art. BeSo is also a figural artist who sometimes uses abstraction to lure the viewer into an allegorical dance. With a focused approach, she creates work that deals with the documentation and study of an idea or subject using humor, science, culture and deep inner knowing to present an alternate view of a topic from a unique perspective. BeSo uses a variety of creative thought processes in her work. “Sometimes I start with an idea and plan a piece all the way through. Some of my art comes from a strong inner urging to share a visionary message. Other times, I just start working and see what unfolds.” “I hope that my work continues to excite and surprise through the ages. I want patrons to take home a piece of art and learn something new about it (and themselves) each time they look at it.”
