Performing Art – Los Angeles

Blaine Em (Sometimes written as Blaine Esty) started dancing before she could talk. At the age of three, she started taking ballet classes, performing at first in front of family, and later in front of thousands of people in Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and the Alice in Wonderland ballet. In high school, she joined her school\'s varsity dance team, and college she performed in and choreographed for UCSC\'s student run dance showcase, Random With A Purpose, in 2009 and 2010. One year ago, after a 4-year dance hiatus, she was inspired when she saw Lucent Dossier perform at Ebanos Crossing in downtown LA. There, an aerial dancer was lifted into the sky on a flying pole, spinning above everyone\'s heads. It was at that moment she knew pole was the dance medium she wanted to do for the rest of her life. In April 2014, she started taking classes and hasn\'t looked back since! By September, she had won 2 gold medals at regional and national pole competitions, and plans on continuing to win gold in 2015 and beyond. If you want to catch another one of her performances, she is a cast member of The Toledo Show and Toledo\' s Circus of Sin, Sundays in Santa Monica and Thursdays in Long Beach at Harvelle\'s.
