Ciciley is a lover of the avant garde, with Alexander McQueen, Andrej Pejic, Tori Amos, Mark Rothko, Bill T. Jones, and Tom Waits topping her lists of influences. A graduate of Oberlin College, her formal training is in theatrical costume design and construction, along with the history of fashion. Ciciley has styled numerous recording artists and had her work and commentary featured in sundry films, videos, and magazines. She styles editorial high fashion, runway, commercials looks, rock, pop, blues, urban, country, vintage, and more. She once made a Captain America costume in six days on her antique 1975 Kenmore 1347 in-cabinet sewing machine, Bessie.
Born and raised in Nashville, Ciciley is a supporter of local charities Nashville Cares and Second Harvest Food Bank, as well as Foundation Fighting Blindness. She is active in the community regarding politics and the direction in which Nashville is heading.
In addition to fashion, Ciciley loves music, poetry, art, and reading. She’s addicted to good exercise. She loves blurred lines, heat but not sun, the movies M and Terminator 2 as much as The City of Lost Children, boots, Big Mama Thornton, and Don Giovanni. Lyle Lovett wrote her favorite song of all time.
