Shannon Holt, of Bombshell Body Art

Thinking creatively has been a way of life for visual and makeup artist, Shannon Holt. She excels in her arts and makeup training and grows to master her own creative language by studying and emulating the work of iconic theatrical MUAs and performance artists. Shannon loves to paint with theatrical makeup on the human canvas. Shannon began her serious art studies at Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts and Chautauqua School of Art in New York. As an adult, she studied abroad on a scholarship in Rome, and received a Bachelor of Fine Art from Tyler School of Art, Temple University,(Philadelphia) after five years in 1998. Her major concentrations at university were Painting and Art Education with special interest in Art History. Shannon has been living as an artist since graduating, and most recently found her true niche in the world of theatrical makeup and arts entertainment as an award winning body painter. She continues to travel and body paint at art shows, major festivals, theater and charity events continuing to become a more accomplished artist. Shannon keeps in practice with her fine arts work in her at home studio. Shannon knows the importance of illuminating knowlege of beauty makeup as well as her own body painting vocabulary and avant garde makeup. She incorporates dimensions of each in her work. She strives to be better than her last art piece, and looks for opportunities to grow and shine.
