War Against Silence

The War Against Silence is a live musical performance project. Genres range from hiphop to rock, ragga to jazz, electro to punk. The WAS began in 2007 at a recording studio with Ben Oaks and Ed Rivera during the ANDROID869 sessions. A new musical collaboration was born. Various shows have since been played under the BONES CULTURE label. The WAS officially jumps off in 2011 with the addition of drummer Brian Frost (from FOR THIRDS). Emcee and singer Slick Talk the Hustla (Ed Rivera) is supported by members of the blues band FOR THIRDS (Frost + Oaks), Dan Savage of LOCAL DUB and various guests from BONES CULTURE. The WAS used to be backed by the jam/jazz project The Good Old Fashioned and originally by rock band The Wolfgang Rebellion.
