Accessories – San Francisco

I have always wanted to own my own business and be my own boss. Thirty seemed like a good age to do just that--SO, in 2016 I moved back in with my parents, took over their house and Brennamarie’s journey finally began. Brennamarie started as Brenna Marie Designs on Etsy in 2009 after graduating from college and finishing an art program in Italy. My shop consisted of fashion and wedding accessories which I sold mostly for fun and for a little extra cash during fashion school. After years of doing this on the side and paying way too much attention to boys, it was time to get serious. Immediately after my second round of schooling, I was thrilled to land a job as the Production Assistant at a wholesale clothing company based out of Sausalito, CA. I learned how to create a garment from start to finish (and every little thing in between); but even having a job as awesome as that, there was still a void. Not to mention, my boss's second job was to drain souls when he walked into a room. It was then I knew I wasn’t going to be truly happy until I worked for myself. I became a personal and bridal stylist for two wonderful companies in between and a year and a half later, here we are. I love pairing different styles and patterns to complement each other. I’m inspired by rustic, southwestern and Aztec styles, along with, classic, timeless looks. As a result, my designs are a balanced collaboration of both--detail and texture, mixed with sophistication and simplicity. I hand-pick my leather hides--imperfections and all--to add a slight rustic touch. I hand and machine sew all my designs and I’ve invested in high quality tools and equipment to help me produce my products. I couldn’t do it without the support of my family and friends—speaking of, Mom, thanks for being my first and number one employee! #bestassistantever. Babe, thank you for helping me with the business side of things (and for being my on-call handyman) and to my sister, Danielle, thanks for taking care of everything that has to do with math! You guys are awesome.
