Visual Art – Pittsburgh

I have been a artist since 1999, a painter since 2005 and a tattoo artist since 2006. My most recent work is acrylic on cardboard or canvas with colored pencil and chalk pastel. I also have years of experience with murals, metal sculpture, and granite etching. Abstract tattoo is my shop where I work full time. My drive for drawing sparked when I was young and I have never stopped since. I have a taste for the surreal and esoteric in all forms of expression. Subject matter in my pieces range from portraits to odd and surreal characters to aliens and abstract forms. It is important for me to keep the aspects of realism in most of my work while still finding a place for abstraction and free form. I am intrigued by the mind and it\'s artistic processes. Most artists know of the auto pilot zone we can go to while working, finding ourselves at the end of a session wondering how we just did that. Whether we are tapping into some infinite source of imagination, or the universe observing itself in some low frequency holographic world, or just a brain trying to measure it\'s awareness inside and out, the artistic and creative experience is the best part of our reality.
