Beauty – Seattle
My name is Christine and I was raised in Burien, WA. I have always had an interest in hair. I had huge crazy curly hair growing up along with my share of bad haircuts so I\'ve had many adventures learning how to deal and love my own hair. I originally went to college. However when I wasn\'t happy in my career path my mom encouraged me to check out beauty school. As soon as I was doing the tour I knew this was where I should be. I started classes two weeks later and the rest is history. I have been doing hair for around 7 years now. I started in a nice salon but after a couple years I left to become caregiver to my grandmother. I never wanted to lose touch with my craft or my industry so I started collecting equipment to do hair out of my home. When she passed and it was time for me to go back to the salon I realized being my own boss was everything I had wanted so I continued my one person shop. Eventually I realized I missed talking to my fellow stylists so I got a part time job at a professional beauty supply- a choice I\'m happy I made. Now I not only get to chat with the other awesome people in my industry, I am on top of upcoming trends the second they are out. I find balance and joy in this career, industry and life.
